Europe 2008 is a grand title for just a month's holiday in very few destinations in only three countries. Still, so much time was spent in planning and preparation, it felt like "Europe 2008". This is what it actually amounted to:
Paris and Lyon I did on my own, Hungary and Prague under the auspices of Sights & Soul Travels Tours and Vacations for Women. Having planned my own travel many times now, I have some appreciation for how much time, effort, and skill it takes to organize tours such as offered by Sights & Soul Travel. Everything was so well thought out I would have absolutely no hesitation recommending Sights & Soul Travel to any women who want to travel but hesitate to do so on their own. And, even though I enjoy solitary travel, I'd have to confess that had I tackled these new-to-me destinations, I would've missed out on much! Experience matters.
Yolanta Barnes is the driving force behind Sights & Soul Travel and does a magnificent job of ensuring you enjoy as wide a range of experiences as feasible. Heni Anderson was our tour leader and did a very fine job of making sure we got to see and do everything we were supposed to see and do. I am particularly grateful to her for organizing my trip to the dentist in Heviz - Hungarians are lovely but their language is impossible (for me anyway - it took me three days to remember the word for 'thank you'), without Heni's help I might've just gone home (well, no - but the thought would've crossed my mind :-)).
